Spanish Dances ("Spanische Tänze") for Violoncello and Piano, Op. 54

In the 20th and 21st centuries, particularly the fifth movement of this collection, Vito, enjoyed many performances from cellists worldwide, while the other four pieces drifted towards oblivion. This first modern edition of the entire set contains two cello parts: One with Popper’s original fingerings and bowings, one with Martin Rummel’s suggestions reflecting modern playing techniques.
